Project Coordinator
with Cooper Institute and the PEI Fight for Affordable Housing
We are looking for a coordinator for a new project involving outreach to tenants, some research, organizing and facilitating group discussions, and writing. The project has two main outcomes: a user-friendly guide to preparing for rental hearings and a set of recommendations for a maintenance standards bylaw for PEI. Both will be firmly grounded in the experience of tenants who have taken part in hearings, and of tenants who have experienced challenges relating to maintenance and repairs. The intent is to organize and facilitate conversations with tenants as a way of creating content for both the guide and the set of recommendations.
The work:
Organizing and facilitating community conversations
Research/gathering & compiling information
Writing and preparing documents for publication
Preparing and distributing monthly reports
Participating in monthly meetings of partner organizations
Requirements:
Group facilitation skills
Experience working with grassroots organizations
Knowledge of issues affecting tenants in PEI
Strong interpersonal skills
Communication and writing skills
Knowledge of evaluation methods and practice
Hours & Wages: 37.5 hours/week at 24.00/hr
April 24 to December 8, 2023 (32 weeks)
