Sekisui Diagnostics, a PEI based company that manufactures and researches clinical chemical reagents for use in hospitals and clinics around the world, recently presented Cooper Institute with a donation.
Sekisui Diagnostics, a PEI based company that manufactures and researches clinical chemical reagents for use in hospitals and clinics around the world, recently presented Cooper Institute with a donation of 9,000.00.
In presenting the cheque to Cooper Institute, the company said it wishes to support Cooper Institute’s programs related to livable income, affordable housing, diversity and inclusion, protection of land and water, and justice for migrant workers. The company is committed to addressing the issues of social justice and racial discrimination and supporting islanders affected by these challenges.
Joe Byrne accepted the cheque on behalf of Cooper Institute. “We’re grateful for this support, and for the expression of faith in the work that we’re doing in the community.”
Cooper Institute is a community development and education centre, working since 1984 with other groups that are organized for positive and progressive social, economic, and environmental change. The primary focus of Cooper Institute’s work is education, community development and research directed towards empowerment of groups, individuals, and communities.
